Bikes, books, jazz, New Urbanism, coffee, and all that sort of thing: come to Voices of the City II in South Pasadena (just a quick tram ride from Downtown LA or Pasadena, or a wonderful cruise on two wheels) and join Rick Risemberg for a book signing with readings, Q&A, vintage vinyl background music, mingling with fellow urbanites, and all sorts of relaxing pleasures this Sunday, July 26th, at the Battery Books & Music. plenty to eat ad drink in adjacent establishments.

I’ll be reading from both my collection of essays, "Our Own Day Here," and my urban noir mystery novel, "The Dust Will Answer," as well as, possibly, unpublished work if the mood strikes me (and I remember to bring some along). I’ll also be signing copies of my books, and selling them there if you haven’t already got your own. We’ve even figured out a way to "sign" e-books if that’s what you prefer, and those too will be on sale, on the spot.

So come on by, listen in, shout praises or complaints, and generally have a happy urbane afternoon, starting at 4:00PM if anyone shows up, at 4:30 if they don’t.

Hope to see you there!
