Hi all,

The link posted by Jason appears to be a virus propagated by Microsoft. Don't click on it or follow it through to Outlook, which is where it takes you, or appears to take you.

This appears to me to be the end of Yahoo as a usable platform for anything.

As a work-around, don't post any links here.

Joel

Actually, when you click on the link it doesn't work. but when you take it
and paste it into a new window or tab, presto: it works. i got the article.

here should be a fully clickable, uncontaminated link to the same article:
http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/837893/UK-cars-petrol-diesel-ban-electric-air-pollution

in case that doesn't work, then we can reconsider your theory, Joel, but I
don't think it was a yahoo issue. let's test and see.

Thanks Jason for sending this. I'm curious what the Clean Air Act will be
there next year. Although it is not the first time that some government
people suggest ending with cars, that doesn't always translate into action.
I've also heard that the EU White Paper on Transport stipulates the
complete elimination of conventional cars in Europe by 2050 (with the
threat of electric, etc still there) but also with modal share targets of
cycle way higher.

but i guess campaigns need to follow through.

=v= Luckily it's not a virus, it's a redirection feature from
Jason's employer's Microsoft mail system, which scans outgoing
mail (from employees) for links and "helpfully" filters them
through their server. The problem isn't on Yahoo's end, it's
just more Microsoft nuttiness.
